Master’s degree holders who apply for a scholarship for doctoral studies will be able to submit their candidacy only in those cases where the requested field of study is not possible in Israel.
2. Holders of a doctoral degree may present their candidacy provided that the degree was awarded to them after November 2005. 3. Those wishing to undertake postdoctoral training will be required to present confirmation that their work has been submitted for evaluation before leaving the country. During 2008-2009, they will be required to present confirmation that their work has been approved and that they are eligible for a doctoral degree. Priority will be given to: 1. For candidates who are completing their doctoral studies and plan to travel for postdoctoral training abroad. 2. For PhD students who need a year of study and research abroad essential for completing their doctoral thesis in Israel. Special priority will be given to the fields of the humanities. Cannot submit their candidacy: 1. Faculty members with tenure at the university. 2. Students who are staying or already studying abroad. 3. Those who receive over $25,000 from additional sources. 4. Those who completed their doctoral studies abroad (only in special cases is the foundation willing to consider such a candidacy). 5. Candidates who are engaged in the fields of Western European history and are in the final stages of writing their doctorate or who have Ph.D. and do not have tenure at the university will submit their applications for the Benevolent Fellows Scholarships (these scholarships will be announced during the year. Application deadline January 2008). Applications cannot be submitted to both funds at the same time. |
