How to submit the research proposal

  •  The research proposal will be submitted according to the guidelines and forms on the Authority’s website.
  •  The research proposal will present the research question and hypotheses, a review of research literature, research tools, a research plan with a time estimate, and the expected results of this research.
  •  You can use the Mofet Institute’s procedures booklet, which appears on the website.
  •  The proposal will be submitted to the Authority’s secretary in print, with a copy attached by email.
  •  To conduct research in education, the procedures at the following link must be followed: Research Approval from the Office of the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Education

Research budgeting

  •  A research grant from the college will be awarded according to the committee’s decision during teaching hours.
  •  The grant will be given in three stages: 1/3 upon commencement of the research, after committee approval; 1/3 after submission of an interim report; 1/3 upon completion of the research and after submission of a written research summary or submission of a draft for publication.
  •  Research that requires special expenses (in Israel) will require a request to fund these expenses and reimbursement will be provided according to the committee’s decision against receipts.
  •  The grant approved for the proposer is for one year.

Research progress and publication

  • An interim report must be submitted to the Authority’s secretariat by the end of February.
  •  Towards the end of the research, a summary of the research results or a draft publication must be prepared and submitted.
  •  The college’s ambition is to publish the research on an academic stage.
  •  The grant recipient will acknowledge the support of the College’s Research Authority in the publication resulting from the research he or she conducted.

  •  At least one member of the group must be a faculty member working at the college on a ¾ full-time basis or more.
  • The remaining members of the group can be staff members working 1/3 of a position or more.
  •  A group research proposal should reflect the skills of all group members.
  •  Group research proposals will also be submitted for scholarship funding through external bodies such as the Mofet Institute or the National Science Foundation.
  •  The group research proposal will be submitted for one year, with the possibility of an extension for another year.
  •  The budget and requirements are the same as for individual research.

Inter-institutional research

  •  The Research Authority strives to conduct research in collaboration with other academic institutions.
  •  At least one member of the group must be a faculty member working at the college on a ¾ full-time basis or more.
  •  The budgeting relationships between the college and the other institution(s) and the terms of the partnership will be discussed by the Research Authority’s steering committee separately with respect to each inter-institutional research proposal.
  •  Group research proposals will also be submitted for scholarship funding through external bodies such as the Mofet Institute or the National Science Foundation.
  •  The inter-institutional research proposal will be submitted to the Research Authority according to the guidelines and forms on the Authority’s website on the same dates as mentioned above for individual research.
